ArcSon-KHR - Darkness Fulmine

A pivotal scene I thought of for my potential Archie Sonic / Katekyo Hitman Reborn! x-over, inspired by the events of Sonic Universe 15.

After Lightning Lynx had been exiled by the Bride of the Conquering Storm from the Raiju Clan, he ran from the grounds, away from Sonic's and Tsuna's group and the Destructix, distraught and shattered, tears flooding from his light blue eyes.

"Why...? Why...?? WHY DOES EVERYTHING I CARE FOR HAVE TO BE TAKEN FROM MEEEEE?!?!"

Lightning collapsed on the grassy ground, his face fur stained by his hot tears, his sobs slowly becoming more agonizing and broken.

"... Do you seek absolution...?", a strange, clam voice filled the area.

Lightning Lynx's eyes snapped open. He instantly stood, wiping his tears ferociously and darting his eyes dangerously in every direction. "Who's there?! Show yourself!"

"Or... is it possible that you seek revenge?"

"R-... Revenge?"

"But of course! Exiled by your own clan, sold your soul to evil, marked as a villain by the rest of society, having your sorry ass handed to you on a silver platter on countless occasions, beaten by that snot-nosed bratty blue mouse, and just when you thought you had your life and old love back, it was ripped from your fingertips like a child from its mother! By the same conceited wretch who had humiliated you times before, just because he had to play the F*CKING hero, no less. Had to come to everyone's cried-out rescue. Well, I say... NO MORE!", the voice boomed, the last two words taking the lynx off guard.

Soon, a cloud of darkness formed into the guise of a black-robed human - thee deepest black. Nothing could be seen of his face but pale-peach skin - almost porcelain-peach - and a long scar across his nose. A thick strand of stark white hair dripped down from his hood, evenly perched above his nose.

"Do you wish to obtain the vengeance your soul - you entire being - CRIES OUT for? The power to make this world beg for forgiveness? Well... do you?!"

"...Yes..."

"Hm...? I cannot quite hear yo--"

"I SAID YES!! I WANT POWER! POWER TO MAKE THEM PAY! THE POWER TO MAKE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE PEONS PAY FOR WHAT THE DID TO ME!!!", Lightning screamed, tears flowing from his eyes as he dropped to his knees and panted heavily.

"... Very well." The figure then proceeded to take a small silver ring from his robe.

"!!! Th-That's--!!!"

"The ring the Iron Dominion's traitor, NICOLE wore. The Iron Dominion Ring of the Lightning Flame."

"Wh-wh... where'd you get that??", the cat Mobian stammered.

"That is of no importance. The rings of the Iron Dominion are greatly powerful. They also must always... always have a master. And guess what? That new master... is you."

At that time the ring shot itself at Lightning, who was screaming and erupting with cracking green energies, a powerful hole in the ground starting to form from the sheer power released.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH----------------------"

But soon the screaming changed to malicious cackling.

"-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!! THE POWER!! I FEEL... THE POWER!!! THE POWER TO MAKE EVERYTHING... BOW BEFORE ME!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA------!!!!!!!"

The figure could only smirk. ' Vey good. But soon you'll realize that this power comes with a STEEP price. You're still just a pawn in our game... just a sacrificial soldier. It'll only be a matter of time before it's your time to be removed from the board... heh heh heh..."
